Donnelly's victory sees him increase his lead in the Irish Tarmac Championship to 12 points over Tim McNulty.

Meath man McNulty actually led at the start of today's stages following the removal of a one-minute penalty. He retained the lead until Stage 13.

Eamonn Boland, the defending Tarmac champion, came home in third place - one minute 53.7 seconds further behind.

Gareth MacHale (Ford Focus WRC) was fourth followed by his brother, Aaron, also in a Ford Focus WRC.

Meanwhile Irish driver Keith Cronin (Mitsubishi) made a tremendous recovery to finish some 11 seconds behind Mark Higgins (Subaru), who took top points in the British Rally Championship.

However, Cronin retains his lead - two points ahead of Higgins.

Another Irish driver, Alastair Fisher (Mitsubishi) was 10th in general classification.

What a rally from Keith,he lost 1 min and 53 seconds with a puncture on the second stage, he narrowed the gap back to 2 seconds with 2 stages to go by setting some astonishing stages times but was caught out on slicks on a wet stage and spun losing time, he beat Aaron Mchale on a good few stages who is driving a 06 wrc focus and even beat Gareth Mchale on one stage

Fair play to Eugene for getting the best out of that skoda

Fair play to keith and taking nothing off him but Gareth couldnt win if the rest were in micras. Drives me up the walls when you see him seeded number one and the bullshit about him, what has he won or came close over the years :dontknow: :angry1: :angry1:

sorry lads rant over

Totally agree with you there  he is totally over-rated, but thats why I made the comparison between Keith and Gareth, some people rate Gareth as one of the top drivers in Ireland but wouldnt even put Keith in the top 5 or 10 :dontknow: Money is the only reason he is up there.

This was just on sky sports, showed da british championship. Repeat is now on sky sports 2.
Keith came so close to winning it.... :icon_sad: Serious talent, wit out doubt da best up and coming driver in ireland...
