Leaking steering rack?

My car has developed a leak of some sort, looks to be coming from the steering rack.
Its a pale brown greasy sludge.
It seems to be dripping onto the drivers side drive shaft and getting flicked onto the downpipe and surrounding area. :wall:
Its then burning on the downpipe giving off a little smoke that smells similar to burning rubber.
Does this sound right? Does power steering fluid when burnt smell like that?
Thanks

Have you checked your inner CV boots? It may have burst and the rotating drive shaft can flick grease onto the downpipe. Same thing happened my Type R.
