2nd gear problem

i have a 98 wrx english model i am finding it hard to get it into 2nd gear most of the time while driving easy or hard and 1st can be a problem while in traffic is it my imagination or do they give bother there is nearly 140,000miles on her. any help very helpful :pray: :icon_pray:
 
Not 100% sure.... but IMO... sounds like your synchro is gone on 2nd... they take a beating by gears being snatched from 1st to 2nd!
 
I'd say its a bent selector fork or gear linkage mechanism :thumbsup:
