EVO vs SUB vs SKY ... Date Change (Now Sun 5th July)

SWRC Wayne

Sunday Drivers
A few tweaks have been made to our events schedule for 2009. This includes the addition of 3 Drag & Time Attack events to be held on Sundays, as well as the usual Saturday events. The Sunday drag races are expected to be very successful in their attendance and entry numbers. It seemed that one of our most popular events deserved to be relocated to one of these slots. As a result we have taken the decision to move the EVO vs. SUBARU vs. SKYLINE event to SUNDAY 5th JULY @ BISHOPS COURT, Downpatrick, Co Down.

The 3 extra rounds take the number of Irish Drag Championship rounds to 9. Now with a higher number of rounds this enables us to run a system where all drivers must drop their 2 lowest scoring rounds. This is a benefit for anyone joining the championship late but also helps ensure that the title goes to the most worthy winner as it reduces the effect of a mechanical failure on the overall outcome.

EVO vs SUB vs SKY: Sun 5th July, Round 5 of the Irish Drag Championship

The FASTEST cars in Ireland do battle for the overall honours as well as the individual Class prizes. The highlight of this event being the grudge match between the Japanese Super Saloons!

Entry fee £50 on the day or £40 in advance: http://www.sideways-racing.co.uk/index.php?page=event-bookings-2

Entry covers unlimited Drag runs + some Track Day sessions.

Eligible cars (half cage + harness) also get free entry to Time Attack competition.

If coming from a long way South, I'd recommend a stop over in Newry. Lots of options for Hotels and B&B's, plus the night life is WAAAY better than in Downpatrick :653: :beerbang:

I do this run with work you would never do it in 1.5 hours..its not to bad but 2.5 is realistic.
