i have an 03 1.6 impreza. can or will a 2 litre engine fit this car if i were to get one from another 03 model????
 
To be honest, IMO by the time you will have changed everything over that need changing you will have probably spent the cost of a turbo model!  :thumbsup:
 
would love to change to bigger car, but as ye know yourself cars just arent selling for what they are worth and need to sell mine before i can free up the extra cash.
 
Way to much effort. Better off getting a turbo model. No point in having a turbo engine without decent brakes so the costs keep adding up. The brakes on the 1.6 are muck (I had two 1.6 imprezas) at the best of times
 
cheers lads took your advice and got myself a turbo model, had to go down the years but very happy with it all the same
