Petrolheads
Kerry Motor Club is pleased to announce details of the forth coming Circuit of Kerry Rally which will be held on the 29th of March. The rally will be counting rounds of both the Dunlop National Rally Championship (Rnd 3) and the Top Part West Coast Championship (Rnd 2). Clerk of the Course will once again be Senan Raggett and he is delighted to welcome back the Fels Point Hotel as main sponsors of the rally.

The hotel was referred to as “possibly the Best Rally HQ ever” by Patterson’s Rally news.

After the success of last years rally Senan and his team have once again put in place a very competitor friendly format with the service area and Parc Ferme both within the grounds of the rally Headquarters and will use a 3 stage format totalling 140 km with 161 competing cars been permitted to start.

Sound John...

1st two stages r around castleisland - knocknagoshal area. Den dere's service, 3 stages, service again and 3 final stages but don't know where dere been run.

Got a programme 2day. Dere's 3 stages, Mounteagle, Headley's Bridge and Desmonds Grave. Both Mounteagle and Headley's Bridge r been run 3 times while Desmonds Grave is been run twice.

1st stage is Mounteagle wit 1st car at 9.10, 2nd is Headley's Bridge wit 1st car at 9.50. Good thing wit da programme is it tells u good spectator viewing points.

On da Mounteagle stage dere isn't many places to view as dere is very little access. There is easy access into a SQ L before a long fast straight about a mile from da start.

On da Headley's Bridge stage a good viewing point is at da bridge itself. Cars enter a SQ L den over da bridge followed by a very tight SQ R, which all can be viewed from a field on high ground. To find tis spot just drive out da main rd from Abbeyfeale to Castleisland and about 5 miles out you'll come across 1 of those electronic traffic signs saying Circuit Of Kerry Rally. The viewing spot is just da nxt right turn, wil prob c cars parked at da side of rd anyway.

On the Desmonds Grave stage dere is a good few viewing spots, 1 been a fast SQ R as da cars enter it comin downhill. This can be found by turning left off da main Tralee to Castleisland rd lookin 4 clogher church.

Service area is in Tralee town at Fels Point Hotel. Actually went dere 2day, seen Donnie O'Sullivans S2000 and fook me it looks absolutely savage.

Lookin 4ward to a good days rallying 2morro, hopefully may meet a few of ye..

sorry lads for not getting a few good spots posted up here last nit but the pc in fels point wasnt working last nite so couldnt log on. :wall:
then to make things worse the rally car got a little gremlin in it today and went like a bag of siht on first stage then a mile into the 2nd stage she went like a bat out of hell then hit a bump and she went no more. siht happens. :hammerhead:

Really great days rallying in Kerry today!Headed to Headley's Bridge fo SS2!nice bit of sideways action about two feet away from my toes :shock2: :shock2: Marchels were very laid back!seen an escort dramatically die at that corner too!
Then headed to the Bridge itself for SS4!Great view from that field!it satrted to rain a little and things went very wrong for some of the drivers!
Cant beleive Quinn in a MK2 Escort came 3rd!was a car :049:
Didnt expect much from this rally but i was very wrong!

Great day out!

@Flatcrest...sorry to hear that lad!
