... when I first joined the Club it was regarded by many (not me) as an 'old mans club'
Well I'm sorry to push up the average age of members so much, but I'll be 55 soon and I've been driving sporty cars since I passed my driving test in the '70s, and hope I might still be doing so when I'm a pensioner! :nana:
I learnt to drive in a Mk.1 Ford Escort G.T. and "cut my teeth" driving an MGB GT with wire wheels, and as nobody told me that it wasn't really very fast, I just drove it like it was. But then I moved on to a passionate affair with a stunning Italian beauty, a Giulia GT that was the first of a trio of Alfa Romeos (and the best of them!).
Now I'm on my second Subaru, and my AWD Legacy wagon is just perfect for my present lifestyle, in the wilds of West Clare. Is there anything it can't do? :dunno: (Apart from handbrake turns! )
