drivers door actuater

hi lads , have 99fozzy, when i press fob to lock or unlock the doors the drivers door actuater not working so the rest of them lock then unlock , or visa versa, anyway was wondering if i changed the actuater would the new one work with the fob i have now or would i have to more than that ? cheers again.
