Drivers door wont unlock

Ronan Glennon

Sunday Drivers
Lads,

When i press the unlock button on my fob the drivers door wont unlock, have to use the key to unlock it :ponder2:
Car is a V5 type r with a clifford alarm.
Door will lock ok and blackjaxx works fine

Any ideas?
is it a problem with the alarm/key fob or with the lock mechanism?

Is it just the drivers door not unlocking? Are the other doors? Try changing the battery in the fob!

Yeah the passanger door is unlocking.
I'll try the other fob and see if thats it.
Cheers Mark

id say the problem is inside the door,
if its the alarm actuator thats faulty
it should be coverd in the warranty,
but it could be something more simple
like something snagging

As above,

Its either a faulty lock actuator or wiring problem

As was said if the other doors are opening then its probably inside the door were the problem is!

Pull the door card off Ronan and have a look, probably something simple and cheap to fix.

Was hoping to do that today, but the blooby weather :angry1:

Cheers for the replies lads

would reckon its in the mechanism, is it stiff to open with the key. if not in door probably alarm not pulsing(never seen a clifford give this trouble). doubt its wiring, as there are only two wires that will feed the motor. they reverse polarity to open and shut, so if one is not working the other shouldn't either

i had this problem,it was the pull wire that slipped out of the slot directly behind the door handle, just stuck it back in the slot and waa laa.
