Gauge acting up

Have lamco gauges in my type r, last few days oil temp gauge has been acting up. Temp would come up to 70-80 degrees as normal then all of a sudden drop back to bottom. Then it jumps back up again. Some days its fine other days it acts up.

Anyone any ideas??

Sounds like a bad connection to the oil temp sensor

Either the wire is frayed (either and the sensor or gauge) or the sensor is faulty IMO

Could be the Gauge but i seriously doubt it
