Headlight Bulb replacement in B4?

I have a japanese imported 2001 Legacy B4 with factory HID headlights. One of the main bulbs has gone. Is it true to replace the bulb will cost around €100? and if so, is there a less expensive alternative? :pray: :ponder2:
 
HID bulbs are very expensive, generally they last a lot lot longer than normal halogens. Have you checked the fuses. maybe fused popped. only alternative would be to get a cheap clone set off ebay maybe :dontknow:
 
From Subaru, i think they are over €200 for the pair from memory. Subaru don't make them themselves so i'm sure they are available somewhere. Did you notice the light going yellow in colour before it blew?
 
i rang subaru about two years ago bout 1 of these bulbs and i got quoted 220 yoyo's for 1 bulb ring around the breakers its d best option :thumbsup:
 
I replaced a HiD lamp in my B4 last year, bulb cost 120 euro from motor factors. The headlight is sooooo easy to take out......not.
