Where should I get a key for my 2002 golf?

As above,
I lost my spare key and I rang VW and they want €240 for a new key,
It needs to be "coded" so the buttons open the doors and works the alarm!
She's a UK import if it makes a difference

Think its main dealer only, I used to work for VW in Bradys navan rd.

When you get a new key they need all the current keys off the car there to tell the car how many are current. So even if your key is found it wont start the car.
