Quick question re: ABS light in dash

Hey all, just wondering how many seconds it is supposed to take for the ABS light to go out in the dash? Is it supposed to go out when the engine starts or can it go off with just ignition on? This relates to a classic Impreza.

It will go out after about 2 secs with the ignition lights still on, before you try start it
 
will go out with just ignition on, after a few seconds,

and same after you start the car. it will go out after 3/4 seconds.
