lads from time to time the revs jump up and down on my car i replaced the maf a while ago just wondering would it be anything else

cheers

As Niall said, could be any of a number of things. If MAF was a second hand one it could be that playing up. :dontknow: I'd try and get a lend of one and swap it for a quick spin and see if that makes any difference

no ruadhri it was a brand new one i fitted could it be anything or what could i check again cheers lads

Hard to say Gordon, possibly something like O2 sensor :dontknow: I'm sure when some of the other lads log on this evening they'll steer you in right direction

Lambda sensor on the exhaust gives the same irregular idle as the MAF sensor,

I'd try that

Check fault codes, and if no code is stored, or anything related to idle control valve, remove the intercooler, and clean the idle control valve, and the throttle body. While the cooler is off, wash it out with petrol. That would be the first thing I would do.
