was looking at dressing up the engine bay a bit and instead of putting that plastic sleeving on everything i was thinking of buying silcone hoses and cutting them to lenght to suit the miles of the rubber stuff thats under the bonnet.
firstly....is this a good idea, im not after power gains just aesthethics so i presume i use the same size hose thats already there i shouldnt have a problem.
secondly.... i dont want to sleeve the existing hoses as it can hide faults making it harder to find them if one occurs.
thirdly.....is it ok to use silicone hosing in place of the vacume pipes, i would have thought chaging them might make the car a bit better by getting rid of pipework that might contain gunk or other deposits.
ive seen the hosing for sale on ebay and i thought ied go for a gloss black, blue would be too in your face and im looking for subtle.
if anyone has done this or has any thoughts on it ied like to hear them. thanks
